Along Kali Gandaki Gorge, Nepal
Kali Gandaki River is older than the Himalayas and is one of the major rivers of Nepal.
The length of the river is 650 km. It flows through the valley between the mountains Dhaulagiri (8167 m) to the west and Annapurna (8091 m) to the east. The heighest difference between the riverbed and surrounding peaks reach 6800 m.
Buddhist Prayer Flags
From the temple where Lord Buddha was born in Lumbini, Nepal these are the prayer flags. Gentle and always waving in the breeze, they are a symbol peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom.

Early morning sunrise on Annapurna peaks seen from Sarangkot, the pyramid on the right is mount Machhapuchhare (6997 m), also known as Fishtail Mountain because of the second peak that can be seen from a different angle.

during the Bhaktapur festival, small candles (actually small terracotta bowls filled with oil) are placed throughout the temple lighting it up with a fantastic glowing light...

On our way towards Machhapuchhre, my cousin takes a moment to take in the misty mountains of Nepal. We were beside a raging creek where we took a short break but continued on to MBC where we saw much more beautiful sights.
