Reflection

pokhara tour 400
Sometimes I wonder why I am here
Wonder if anyone would notice if I disappeared
Just one second that’s all you need
Your once perfect world can feel so weird
I have nothing you want, but everything I need
I look in the mirror and see my biggest fear
I a standing alone screaming and telling
But know one can hear
There is no pain, I am always numb
Everyone I love has been pushed out
One by one
There’s no place to hide, feeling empty inside
Standing there watching as my life flies by
Just one second that’s all you need
Your once perfect world can feel so weird.

The Mountain

Nepal: Mountains
I see before me now a traveling army halting,
Below a fertile valley spread, with barns and the orchards of summer,
Behind, the terraced sides of a mountain, abrupt, in places rising high,
Broken, with rocks, with clinging cedars, with tall shapes dingily seen,
The numerous camp-fires scatter'd near and far, some away up on the mountain,
The shadowy forms of men and horses, looming, large-sized,flickering,
And over all the sky-the sky! far, far out of reach, studded,
breaking out, the eternal stars.

White Mountains

Annapurna
breathe in joy

days light creeps up
White Mountains to sky pink clouds

saved breath of earth
crosses the belly of the valley
rushes up sage
wrestles with cottonwoods
redwings robins ride to roost

creek roars past
3 pillars of an old house rise

breathe out peace
